The Der­ix group of com­pa­nies has spe­cialised in glued lam­i­nat­ed tim­ber for con­struc­tion pur­pos­es. Their pri­or­i­ty is on hall struc­tures, which includes also high­ly com­plex shapes. They are work­ing with three iden­ti­cal lines of type VISION-III-TT 5‑axes, each of which is equipped with a beam table 16,500 x 3,600 mm that con­sists of 23 steel tra­vers­es with wood­en beam tops, as well as with a conveyor.

First meeting of experts on the topic of timber construction

On Novem­ber 9, 2021, we host­ed the first expert meet­ing – the focus was on the future of tim­ber con­struc­tion. The objec­tive of our expert meet­ing was to offer plan­ners, con­trac­tors and all those involved in con­struc­tion, a com­mon plat­form to swap ideas about the role of wood as an eco­log­i­cal mate­r­i­al and the advan­tages of auto­mat­ed processing.

The Chiem­gau-based com­pa­ny Reg­nauer Fer­tig­bau GmbH pro­duces house walls and ceil­ings. The high­ly effi­cient ECO-3313‑A con­tin­u­ous pro­duc­tion line was smooth­ly inte­grat­ed into the exist­ing pro­duc­tion line in 2021 and has since been a cen­tral com­po­nent in the over­all process.

The expert meet­ing took place for the sec­ond time at Reichen­bach­er Hamuel on Novem­ber 9, 2022. Impor­tant top­ics were how much indi­vid­u­al­i­ty a soci­ety can still afford in view of scarce resources in build­ing, or what a fac­to­ry of the future could look like.

The Reichen­bach­er VISION-III-TT 5‑axis sys­tem, the series des­ig­na­tion of which in itself promis­es some­thing extra­or­di­nary, was installed in Lang­shyt­tan in cen­tral Swe­den at the end of 2023. Equipped with a steel beam table with wood­en sup­ports and con­vey­or, the sys­tem fea­tures an impres­sive work­ing area of 20,000 mm x 3,100 mm. This enables the pro­cess­ing of very large CLT pan­els for house walls, ceil­ing and roof ele­ments.
