The high­ly dynam­ic 5‑axes CNC-machine VISION-FLEX is per­fect for the advanced pro­cess­ing of alu­mini­um pro­files, as it rev­o­lu­tionis­es the cut­ting and machin­ing even of larg­er pro­file cross-sec­tions. The pro­cess­ing of pro­files of up to 7,300 mm in length, three-sided and end-of-pro­file machin­ing, are only some of the tech­ni­cal high­lights of this new machine concept.

Mech­top AG, our con­trac­tu­al ser­vice part­ner in Switzer­land, has been much sought-after in the field of sol­id steel machin­ing in the Swiss mar­ket for 25 years. Until two years ago, their core busi­ness did not include the pro­duc­tion of alu­mini­um extru­sion pro­files. In 2019 an order gave the go-ahead for alu­mini­um pro­file pro­cess­ing on a very large scale.

On 30 June 2022, the first work­shop ”Dry Pro­cess­ing of Alu­mini­um Pro­files“ took place at the Cen­tre for Light­weight Engi­neer­ing of the Stuttgart Tech­nol­o­gy and Inno­va­tion Cam­pus S‑TEC. About 30 par­tic­i­pants from indus­try and sci­ence were present to learn about new trends along the entire process chain of the dry pro­cess­ing of alu­mini­um profiles.
