Hous­ing is scarce and becom­ing increas­ing­ly expen­sive. In the mean­time, tim­ber con­struc­tion has gained an impor­tant place in the build­ing indus­try world­wide, espe­cial­ly with regard to envi­ron­men­tal­ly friend­ly con­struc­tion. At the begin­ning of Novem­ber, Reichen­bach­er Hamuel held an expert meet­ing on this sub­ject under the mot­to “A House at your fin­ger­tips!“ The response was great, because there were many inter­est­ing state­ments on the aspects of sus­tain­abil­i­ty and on the ques­tion of how much indi­vid­u­al­i­ty a soci­ety can still afford in view of scarce resources.
