Mechatronic technician

A prerequisite for starting an apprenticeship as a mechatronic technician with us is a GCSE (technical branch or alternatively M-branch at secondary modern school). Following the apprenticeship is an employment as service technician, mechatronic technician in the final assembly or maybe in the SPS-programming. Priority is given to assembly, installation, commissioning and maintenance of complex units. Programming of CNC-machining centres as well as error diagnostic are typical tasks of a mechatronic technician. The apprenticeship takes 3 ½ years.

General:
You manually or automatically process material and assemble mechanical, electro-mechanical, electric and electronic components to mechatronic systems.

Scholastic prereqisites:

  • GCSE or
  • A-levels (Abitur), vocational diploma

General requirements:

  • Interest in technics
  • Technical skills
  • Good marks in maths and physics
  • Accurate and precise working
  • Excellent ability to discriminate colours
  • Capacity for teamwork
