The 5‑axis VISION-III-TT machin­ing cen­tre from Ger­man spe­cial machine man­u­fac­tur­er Reichen­bach­er has been in oper­a­tion at the Setra Group’s wood indus­try cen­tre in Lång­shyt­ta in cen­tral Swe­den since the end of last year, and this series des­ig­na­tion promis­es some­thing extra­or­di­nary. Equipped with a steel gird­er table with tim­ber sup­ports and con­vey­or sys­tem, the 20,000 mm x 3,100 mm work­ing area of the sys­tem alone is excep­tion­al and ide­al­ly suit­ed to the pro­cess­ing and pre­fab­ri­ca­tion of large CLT pan­els for house walls, ceil­ing and roof elements.
